I'm a huge fan of German beer. The wheat, the Kolsch, the dunkle. But one I haven't had before is Maibock. This week I tried an Ayinger Maibock, and it was outstanding! I've had Ayinger before, on trips to Germany, but somehow not this one. It's malty, and hoppy, and has the nice German spice. And who knew, it's available here in the US. This is a full bodied lager that is perfect for this time of year. Although let me be honest, I'd drink this any time of year. Prost!
