Over the past 20 months I've been spending lots of time exploring Western Washington. Even as travel starts to open up I realize how much there is right here in our own backyard. Vashon Island really surprised me with how many amazing restaurants they have to offer. And I was so pleasantly surprised by the beer scene. We stopped in Vashon Brewing, and had some great beer! I was thrilled to see a Marzen, and Kolsch, and a Red. Some days it's just nice to see something that's not an IPA. Especially in the Fall months. The beer was delicious. And the tap room is nice. There is comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Vashon is a great place, and I can't wait to return for the vibrant scene and friendly people. And great beer!
