Love getting good beer news. My friend James Wagner over at Eastside Beer Week reached out to tell me it's coming back for its second year! You know how they celebrate? With beer. They have a ton of super cool events going on, get all the details HERE. The week kicks off July 24th, with a party. They have created a special beer for this year, The Better Half. Crucible Brewing (Woodinville) made this in partnership with Imperial Yeast, and Skagit Valley Malting. James brought some by, and YUM.
This beer is right up my alley. It's a Hazy Pale, chock full of flavor. The nose itself is intoxicating. Floral and citrusy and amazing. It's not bitter and has a really well balanced flavor. It's everything you want in a Pale, with the Hazy notes y'all love in those IPA's. Great stuff. Keep in mind, there are a ton of breweries taking part, like Snoqualmie Falls Brewery, Volition Brewing, Foggy Noggin, Cairn Brewing and many more. Continue to support local, and in this case, support the Eastside!
