I'm a sucker for a pretty package. You do judge a book by its cover. Experts say it is so. I often judge a beer by its cover. So when I saw the hot pinkish reddish glittery can from Mirage Beer I knew I had to buy it. Now, I'm not a girly girl, but I do love hot pink. I didn't know anything about Mirage Beer. In fact, when you go to their website, there is no info there. Nothing. Nada. Zero. Zip. So over to Facebook I go. Nothing. So, I cannot share any info on Mirage Beer. But, I did crack open Candy Paint and found a hoptastic full bodied double IPA. This is a dank beer, citrusy and hoppy and piney. Tons of flavor here. Seemed PNW IPA moreso than NE IPA, but it's often a fine line. I'd love to visit the tap room to try out more of their beers, alas I don't think they have one. Yet. A girl can always hope. I really enjoyed this beer, so next time someone says don't judge a book by its cover, reply, why not, it's just a mirage.
