Get Your Def Leppard Valentine's Day Card & We Look At Classic Rock History

Def Leppard has released a set of Valentine’s Day cards so you can show your loved one how much you fancy them with one of six super sexy cards with sayings like “Do You Wanna Get Rocked?” or “Pour Some Sugar On Me.”

In the History of Rock in 1969 – Led Zeppelin played the first of two nights in New York City during their first North American tour. Zeppelin’s show was so powerful and got such an enthusiastic audience response that headliners Iron Butterfly refused to follow them.

In 1972 – Less than a day after an incident now known as “Bloody Sunday” in which British soldiers killed twelve Irish civil rights demonstrators, Paul McCartney writes and records “Give Ireland Back To The Irish”. It was banned by the BBC and others, but still charted even with the lack of airplay.

And in 1997 – David Bowie released part of his holdings in intellectual property for sale on the stock market, becoming the first Rock star to offer Wall Street stock options on his career.
