The song did better in the US Modern Rock Charts peaking at No. 11, introducing the band to the American fan base and opening the door to making them MTV darlings. The song became part of their debut album "Definitely Maybe," powering the album to one of the greatest of all time.
Oasis became one of the biggest acts in the BritPop explosion of the 90's, and Supersonic was a staple in their live set. Written by Noel Gallagher in one day, the song was essentially a demo and not re-recorded, as it's tone became a template for the band's sound on the album.
