This past weekend I went to (OH) Florida to visit my brother for his birthday. I was in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale. It was hot and sunny and awesome in Florida. Yes, we mock it...a lot...but it's really got some amazing beaches. And restaurants. And beer. I tried a really good hef called Floridian Hefeweizen from Funky Buddha Brewery. They're out of Oakland Park FL. Tasty beer, and a hef is nice in the Florida heat. Good taste, still on the lighter side. One brew I had a few times is called Jai Alai from Cigar City Brewing. I tried this last year while in Alabama and really loved it. It's an IPA, nice and piney. Great aroma, and great hop taste. A 7.5% ABV. Seems pretty big for Florida, but the taste is so good, who cares. I found this beer in most bars/restaurants. Yum, yum and yum. Really good IPA. I ordered it a few times, since we can't get it here in WA. OH little did I know. Yesterday I went to QFC and what did I see? BRAND NEW Cigar City Jai Alai on the shelves. OH my. Florida is taking over my friends. Just as long as Florida Man stays in Florida.
