Sarah's Beer of the Week 09.12.19

Things I love about September. The return of football and crisp air. Things I hate about September. Saying good bye to summer. Let's focus on the good! Football...Thursday night NFL. Friday and Saturday college. All day Sunday NFL. It's pure heaven for a sports fan. I was talking with my coworker bud Max about this, and he said, this weekend, I've got a couple of beers for you to try. Never one to turn down a beer, I gladly accepted. Founders Brewing is from Michigan. I've had several of their beers before, including the Breakfast Stout which is outstanding. One of the beers was the Mas Agave Imperial Lime Gose. I can officially say I have never had one of these beers before. I've had a gose...but never an imperial lime gose. WHAT WILL IT TASTE LIKE?! Super exciting. This beer is aged in tequila barrels, and with the lime and salt addition it's like a beery margarita. Absolutely delicious. It's smooth and tasty. And, I realized it's 10% ABV. Def not your traditional tailgater. But that's where the Session IPA comes in. All the goodness of an IPA, with just 4.7% ABV. That's more along the lines of a Bud Light...but with actual good taste. This is one of the best sessions on the market. Football baby. Love it. Beer...love it. All good things in moderation.  Watching football for four days straight is moderation, right? Cheers friends.
