My friend Mark just celebrated a big birthday, and chose to have his party at Lagunitas in Ballard. Great choice, for SO many reasons. It's big. It's beautiful. It's full of great beer. The space is fantastic, lots of room for parties of all sizes. Two? 20? It will work. And beverage-wise there is always something for everyone. Plenty of IPA's. Which makes me and Mark happy. Some nice big porters/stouts, which makes my husband Matt happy. It was warm, so plenty of people drinking Pilsner. Cider? Yup. They've got it all. Lagunitas is from Cali, but they do brew in the Ballard location. And some of the beers are brewed specifally for SEA . I loved the Shilshole Bay IPA. It’s a fresh and orange-citrus juicy PNW IPA that Lagunitas says is 'chock-full of our favorite Yakima Valley hops and Skagit Valley malts, named after our favorite bay just down the way'. Yum. If you haven't been, it's time. Great beer here.
