The Illinois Police Department are pleading with people asking them to PLEASE no longer use Phone cases shaped like guns. In are recent traffic stop a police officer mistook the case for a real gun and didn't learn it was just a phone until after an arrest was made. Things could have gone bad very quickly in this type of situation. This is not the first time these type of phone cases have made news, they first showed up in 2015, made news again in 2017 and apparently are showing back up now.
