A new Carrie Fisher biography claims the Star Wars actress had affairs with both David Bowie and Freddie Mercury in the 1970's.  MSN says the book will be titled Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds, Written by Darwin Porter and Danforth Prince, it will be published in the UK in July, no date has been stated for a US release.

According to the book, both affairs happened in London when Fisher was only 17.  She reportedly met both musicians through Mick Jagger, who knew Carrie's mother Debbie Reynolds.  The book also claims that it was David Bowie who introduced the future Princess Leia to the world of drugs during his on-and-off six-week affair with her.

MSN quoted the biography when saying that Fisher had confided to her friend Joan Hackett that Bowie “seemed to survive for days on brain-sizzling cocaine, drinking only milk for nourishment”.  Which sounds very similar to what David Buckley stated in his Biography about David Bowie in Strange Fascination: David Bowie: The Definitive Story when talking about his lifestyle while recording his Station to Station Record. He claimed David Bowie had an "astronomic" cocaine habit and was subsisting on a diet of peppers and milk.  The timeline seems to fit for both stories.

It is always hard to decide what is Hollywood Gossip and what is the truth when Biographies like this come out. We will have to make up our own minds on this one since all 3 people mentioned are no longer living to set the record straight.
