The weather has been ridiculously good. A friend said outdoor beers were in order, and picked a spot I had never been. Citizen near Mercer has a large outdoor beer garden. Who knew...this is a perfect outdoor drinking spot! They have a decent sized tap list, and I chose Orange Whip IPA from Fortside Brewing Company. This is a brewery out of Vancouver WA. The Orange Whip is a perfect summer IPA. It's refreshing and citrusy, but also has the bitterness and hop flavor of an IPA. According to their website...there aren't any oranges in this beer! Mind blown. The citrus comes from Mosaic and El Dorado hops. Yum. It's a New England Style IPA which I'm a big fan of. Hazy IPA's are quite tasty and this one from Fortside is no exception. I don't find myself in Vancouver WA much, but if I do I'll def check out more brew from them. And if you're looking for some fun outdoor drankin' Citizen fits the bill.
