It's about that time! This weekend is all about new beginnings and looking to the forthcoming year, so let's kick off 2018 with a bang!
Step back in time to Andy Warhol's factory and party with the "Princess" herself, Miss Edie Sedgwick... she would surely be dancing the night away with this cheeky number. Lou's lyrics are always so playful and biting.. "Vicious, you hit me with a flower, you do it every hour, oh, baby, you're so vicious."
Some may say a little cheesy... but it's hard not to bop your head when Billy Squier rocks the airwaves. I've always loved this live performance.. over the top and adorned the deepest of lyrics, of course.. "Lonely is the night, when you find yourself alone." almost as good as "When I'm alone, all by myself." (via Journey)
A soulful tune with a bit of a kick... Slowhand isn't so slow with this bluesy jam.. an underrated tune that will have you jivin' into 2018.
And to top it off I give you a little Morrison.. I always say, The Doors are one of those bands to cap the night off with and this song in particular gets the job done beautifully.
