Last week I went to Oaxaca Mexico. What a wonderful place. The food, the people, the sites...the beer! We went to Oaxaca Brewing Co, and they had more styles than I was expecting. Even though drinking a lager or pilsner is ideal when it's 80 degrees and sunny, I can't resist trying an IPA. We tried a pale, West Coast IPA and an agave blonde. It's always funny to have a West Coast IPA thousands of miles from the PNW. BUT...it was fantastic!! They certainly know what they're doing. The agave blonde was super interesting because it had a bit of sweetness from the agave. Again, really good stuff. We met some fellow travelers from Austin who were also quite impressed with the beer. Put Oaxaca on your travel list and make sure to stop in Oaxaca Brewing Co!! Salud.
