New music from the Foo Fighters! Last night the Foo released their first new track after the loss of drummer Taylor Hawkins. The song is called “Rescued” and a new studio album coming out June 2nd will be called “But Here We Are”.

In the History of Rock in 1965 – The Beatles single ‘Ticket to Ride’ was released on Capitol Records in the US. The single’s label stated that the song was from the upcoming movie ‘Eight Arms to Hold You’ (the original name for the movie Help!).

In 1980 – 32-year-old English singer Brian Johnson joins the Australian group AC/DC.

And in 1982 – Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel reunite for a European tour after the success of their New York Central Park concert the year before. Tensions between the pair cause them to split again before they can tour the US.
