Sarah's Beer of the Week 01.20.2023

Everyone knows Corona. And Modelo. But how about Roma Brewing. Or Porfirio? Or Colima Brewing? Probably not. Turns out Mexico City has a vibrant craft beer scene! I spent New Years in Mexico City, and fell in love. It was my first time visiting there, and certainly won't be the last. The city has tons of green space, food carts on every corner, friendly people, amazing culture AND...some fantastic beer. I had lager, IPA, imperial IPA, one with 'Christmas Punch', a rice beer and Pale Ale. I was pleasantly surprised how many places had craft beer. I even had a draft from a nanobrewery. Sure, I had a classic Modelo and a Corona here and there, because they too are great. But overall I was thrilled with the beer scene. If you haven't been to Mexico City yet, what are you waiting for? One of the world's best food destinations awaits...and there is good beer to wash it all down.
