Roger Waters releases Lockdown Sessions & we look at Classic Rock History

Roger Waters has released The Lockdown Sessions, an album of material that he recorded during the pandemic. It includes his retakes of 5 classic Pink Floyd songs and one of his solo songs. It’s available now on all major streaming services.

In the History of Rock in 1972 – Elton John’s “Crocodile Rock” was released. It would become his fourth Top Ten hit and first number one single.

In 1989 – Billy Joel started a two-week run at number 1 on the Billboard Pop chart with “We Didn’t Start The Fire”. Joel sings about headlining events that have occurred during his lifetime.

And in 1992 – Saying that he had “seen it all and done it all”, bassist Bill Wyman quits The Rolling Stones after over 30 years with the group.
