Dave Grohl Kicks Off His Annual Hanukkah Sessions & Classic Rock History

Dave Grohl kicked off his annual Hanukkah Session series with a secret show this week. The show was hosted by Judd Apatow and Dave was joined throughout the night by his daughter, Pink, Tenacious D and Beck.

In the History of Rock in 1968 – Graham Nash left The Hollies to team up with ex-Byrds guitarist, David Crosby and ex-Buffalo Springfield member, Stephen Stills. The trio would release their debut album in the summer of ‘69.

In 1973 – Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” tops the Cashbox Best Sellers chart. The record’s flip side was called “Screw You”, but in the US it was re-titled “Young Man’s Blues” so as not to offend record buyers.

And in 1995 – Courtney Love appeared on the ABC TV show ‘10 Most Fascinating People’, saying she wished she had done ‘eight thousand million things differently’ to have prevented the death of her husband Kurt Cobain.
