New York City has issued a warning that in this heat, you will see squirrels splooting and that they are okay. But, what is splooting? Many mammals do it. It's where an animal lays spread eagle on the ground to cool off. We've all seen an animal do it but never knew the name, unfortunately it's called splooting.
