Def Leppard Is Releasing Their Own Line Of What??? And Classic Rock History

Perhaps learning from KISS, Def Leppard is going all in on their merch. In celebration of their 45 years of performing iconic glam metal, they’ve announced their own line of – no, not booze they’ve already done that, they are releasing their own cosmetics and candles.

In the History of Rock in 1962 – The U.S. Army grants Jimi Hendrix an honorable discharge on the basis of unsuitability. His platoon sergeant filed a report that said: “He has no interest whatsoever in the Army.... It is my opinion that Private Hendrix will never come up to the standards required of a soldier. I feel that the military service will benefit if he is discharged as soon as possible.” All in all, it worked out pretty well for music.

In 1968 – A free concert was held in London’s Hyde Park with Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, and T-Rex and Roy Harper to coincide with the release of Pink Floyd’s second album, A Saucerful of Secrets.

And in 1984 – Bruce Springsteen kicked off his Born in the USA Tour with a three-night run at the Civic Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. Springsteen would play a total of 156 shows ending on October 2, 1985 in Los Angeles.
