Iron Maiden Will Never Retire, New Music From Rush Guitarist Alex Lifeson

Bruce Dickinson says Iron Maiden has no plans to retire, he says they ‘we’ll probably drop dead onstage’. Which is maybe the most metal thing anyone’s ever said. The Legacy of the Beast World Tour hits Climate Pledge on September 29th.

Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson’s new band, Envy of None, has just  released the second song from its upcoming debut album.  The full album is due on April 8th.

In the History of Rock in 1964 – Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel record “The Sounds Of Silence” as an acoustic duo. It wasn’t until the record company added electric guitar, bass and drums, without their knowledge, that the song would become a hit in late 1965.

In 1973 – Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" was released in America where it would spent over 741 weeks on the Billboard chart, finally falling off in 1988.

And in 2009 – Tickets for a one-off gig by Sir Paul McCartney at the opening of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino sold out seven seconds after going on sale.
