An Amtrak train derailed on Saturday (September 25th) near Joplin, Montana as it was headed towards Seattle. According to the Liberty County Sheriff's Department, 3 have been confirmed dead and others injured. More than 150 people were on the train, known as The Empire Builder, running from Chicago to Spokane, where it splits and sends some cards to Portland and others to Seattle.
Rescue operations are underway as we continue to monitor the situation.
