Ever pick up a beer and fail to notice its ABV? I did. Bought 'Even More Coco Jesus' from Evil Twin Brewing. Halfway through this ridiculously good beer I looked on the can to find out 12% ABV! How deceiving, because you don't taste it at all. Oftentimes a beer that big has 'heat'. You can taste that it's high in alcohol. Not the case here. Good thing I was splitting this 16 ounce can with Matt. It's an imperial stout infused with maple syrup and coconut. OMGB this is a scrumptious beer. It's rich, and chock full of flavor. It's a little sweet, but in such a good way. Light coconut flavor, not overpowering. Just straight up tasty. I confess I know very little about this brewery. I had to look it up. The can says 'Connecticut', but it looks like it originated in Denmark. And they have a taproom in NYC. Delving in deeper, looks like they've been a 'nomad brewer', and they partner with other breweries, and use their facilities to brew their recipes! This particular beer was brewed at Two Roads Brewery in Connecticut, but it's Evil Twin Brewing's beer. Confused? So am I. Don't try to figure it out after drinking a 12% beer. :-)
