I was on vacation to Tunisia last week, with a long layover in Frankfurt. The town of Bad Homburg is a short Uber ride away. We went to explore and to drink beer! We found a cool spot that was full of woodworking tools and knicknacks. They had a lot of beers on the menu, and I was pleasantly surprised to find some I'd never tried. Schreinerei Pfeiffer also had some great food items. We ordered two dunkle, Kloster Scheyern and Staropramen. The first is a traditional German dark, and the latter a czech dark. Bitter, sweet, roasty, full bodied. Beers like this always look like big boys, but both are under 5% ABV. And both were delicious. They were the perfect compliment to the German food. The Frankfurt region is famous for their green sauce, which is super yummy. Prost!
