Last week Matt and I spent time in Germany, Italy and Slovenia. We started and ended our trip in Germany. We went to the town of Mainz, outside of Frankfurt. What a great little city! It's right on the Rhine River, and there is a huge walkway on both sides, where people bike and walk and enjoy nature. There is a vibrant city square full of old buildings. AND...there is beer. Thankfully I found a place called Zeitungsente with my favorite, Schneider Weisse. I have made trips to Germany just to drink this beer. You can find it at a few spots here in the US but it's few and far between. If you see it...DRINK IT! Prost!
