While in Hawaii last week I had several Mai Tai, but also some local beers. I usually have a Kona or two, but I also had one from Lanikai Brewing Company. They have beers with smoked pineapple, and Tahitian vanilla, lime/sea salt and more. I picked up a can of the Cheehoo IPA. There are great tropical notes, citrus and just a touch of hop bitterness. Good stuff here, and I'll def need to seek out their other styles when I'm back. Which...I hope is soon. Who doesn't love spending time in paradise.
