I spent Thanksgiving on the Big Island of Hawaii. While there I had a lot of great local beer, including Ola Brewing. We went to visit the brewery, which was super cool, and featured something I'd never seen before. Hard Juice. To start, we ordered beer...a pale ale and a lager. Which were DELICIOUS. But then we noticed how many people had glasses of clear brightly colored drinks. Upon looking at the menu again we saw the hard juice. Intrigued, we had to order some! Watermelon and Dragon Fruit Lemonade. WOW. It's not flavored like a hard seltzer (which is also on the menu) but actual fermented fruit juice. I thought the watermelon was amazing and something I could drink on any warm day. The beer is great, the juice was great, if you find yourself on any o the Hawaiian Islands, seek out Ola! Ke aloha.
