I follow Reuben's brews on IG, and when I saw them posting a purple beer I was intrigued. It's not like food coloring green beer at St. Pats, instead they use butterfly pea powder. Body Paint IPA doesn't taste purple, if that makes sense. Sometimes your brain thinks if something looks one way it tastes one way. Anyone remember clear Pepsi? It tasted the same but you didn't know what to make of it because cola isn't supposed to be clear. This is an IPA that they brewed to celebrate the opening of their new taproom in Fremont. Body Paint IPA is delightfully hoppy. They use Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy and Nelson. It tastes like a wonderful hazy. Not like a Grimace shake.
