When you have a kegerator, emptying a keg is tragic and exciting. You think you can't have beer because your keg is empty. Then you remember there are bottles and cans. That buys you time to decide what to get in a keg next. This time of year is all about Fresh Hops. You'll find them in all the breweries, and canned in stores. If you're a hophead, this is a wonderful time of year. Right when the season started we headed to Fremont Brewing Company to get theirs. Field to Ferment is their annual collaboration with hop farmers. This year the hop is Centennial. Characteristics of this hop are citrus, pine, and awesomeness.
