This week's blog features beers from my trip to Austria a few weeks ago. We visited Innsbruck and Solden. These are beautiful spots, nestled in the Austrian alps. My favorite place to drink beer in Innsbruck, was a place called 'Beer Shop'. How great. They sold beer to go, and you could sit out front and gaze at the alps, meet new people and hang out. In Solden we were out hiking and found a restaurant in the alps called Anne Marie's Huhnersteign. We had amazing sausages and spaetzl, and wheat beer. We sampled plenty of beers, including an Edelweiss Dunkle, Gosser Marzen, Zillertal weisbier, and more. We also visited Steigl brewery, for delicious beer and lunch. No one does wheat beer like German and Austria. The hiking and fresh air is amazing in this area, I highly recommend a visit!
