I was excited to find another beer this week from a brewery I've never tried before. Dru Bru. I have read about them a lot, but this is the first time I've seen it in stores. Their slogan is Mountain Made Washington State. Love it! They have tap rooms in Snoqualmie Pass and Cle Elum. They offer a lot of styles I like, Black Lager, Festbier, Maibock, and others. The can I found was Bru Ski Patrol, a German-style Dark Ale. This is 'dunkle' lager, which is quite common in Germany. Basically there you see light and dark beer in the breweries. This is a roasty toasty beer, full of flavor but not heavy. There is malt, and spice, and everything nice. It clocks in at 4.8%, so you can enjoy a few without any guilt. I can't wait to try more of their styles as this one was SUPER.
