We may poke fun at Oh Florida, but I have to say there are some super good breweries there. While visiting my brother (yeah, he lives in Florida), I tried Cigar City Brewing. And loved it. So I was thrilled when they started putting it in stores here in Washington. The Jai Alai IPA was the first I tried. Delicious. The Maduro Brown. Delicious. Guayabara Pale. Delicious. This week, I found a new one, a hazy IPA. Fancy Papers. Guess what. Yup, delicious. 6.5% ABV. Smooth hops. Tangerine and stone fruit come through. Great carbonation. We can mock Florida man all we want, but don't mock the brewers in Florida. Cigar City has it going on.
