Had a super interesting beer for the blog this week. Maud from Fair Isle Brewing in Ballard.  Fair Isle says 'Maud is a Kvass inspired ale brewed with sprouted rye bread from Sea Wolf'. I've never had a Kvass before, and that's probably because it's an obscure style. This is a saison, full of complex and interesting flavors. Citrus, bread and tiny bubbles comprise this one. If you're ready to try some farmhouse, saison and aged beers, the brewery to check out is Fair Isle. And Sea Wolf makes one of the best baguettes around, be sure to get involved with that too!!
