It's fun to find beer from a brewery you're totally unfamiliar with. And one who is brewing a style you're not familiar with. Top Rung Brewing Company is in Lacey, WA. This brewery was started by two firefighters who wanted a fun distraction from the grind of firefighting. They've been around since 2014, and are canning a Spring beer called Will Rodgers Rye Lager. I read the description and it was like they were speaking to me. "The rye lager is a medium bodied beer with some spicy and malty notes. Great for grilling or sitting around playing cards." I happen to love doing both of those things. This beer is tasty, and gives a bit more oomph to a lager. 5.9% ABV makes it highly drinkable. Find their beer in cans, on tap, or visit the tap room.
