For this week's blog I tried an unusual beer. A style new to me. Jalapeno Saison. Black Ponds Brews is out of Connecticut. Machu Picchu is the jalapeno saison and it's a funky one. They brew this with jalapenos they grow in their garden. It's a Belgian Style Saison. The pepper flavor is quite robust. Overall I'd say it's light and floral. And spicy! Not something you'd drink several of, but a fun one to try. Many moons ago I lived in Ct and it's nice to see their beer scene is now thriving.
