For this week's beer blog I opened up a bottle from Fort George Brewery. They collaborated with Koala San Brew out of Brazil. I've never had a Brazillian beer before, so I was excited to try this. Positive Contact is dry hopped barrel aged Brett beer. Brett beer is made using a specific yeast, Brettanomyces. Beers made with this yeast tend to be funky. The Positive Contact is just that. Funky, tart, fruity and yet still has hop essence. There is a lot going on with this beer and it's complex and delicious. I've had many of Fort George's beer, and I hope you've been trying them too. They're fantastic, and in many cases adventurous. Maybe one day I'll make it to Brazil and I'll check out Koala San Brew. Felicidades!
