While it's utterly impossible to pick a favorite Seattle area brewery, one newer one has already made it into the top 5. I'd heard good things about Burke Gilman Brewing, but had yet to try it. Matt was in the area and decided to surprise me with...just about everything they brew. He came home with 6 crowlers!! A crowler is 32 ounces, making it the perfect way to share beers with someone. And since we aren't spending as much time in breweries in order to have a sampler you have to go the distance. The good news is crowlers last two weeks, so NO, we didn't drink these all in one sitting!
I gotta say, each and every beer we had was outstanding. I loved the 'messing about in boats" which is a kellerbier. The Zephyr is their delicious hazy. Troll Tarer is a pale ale made with troll tears. Ha! All just flat out fantastic beer.
