Something very cool was sent my way by Elysian Brewing Company. They've collaborated with Rolling Stone for a beer. Yes, THAT Rolling Stone. Not much says 'music' more than Seattle and Rolling Stone. And Elysian Brewing! The masterminds behind Elysian have been brewing in Seattle since 1996. What a year for music. Soundgarden-Down on the Upside. Rage Against the Machine-Evil Empire, Beck-Odelay, Pearl Jam-No Code, Weezer! Sublime! STP! But I digress. The folks at Elysian say that music has always been a big part of who they are, and they wanted to brew a beer to embrace the spirit of beer and art. Thus we get Elysian Rolling Stone Lager.
They collaborated on this beer at the beginning of the year, but it's just recently out for mass consumption. And consume it massively (yet responsibly) you should It's quite refreshing and perfect for the Summer season. Let's be honest. Things haven't exactly been 'normal' lately. What could be better than cracking a musically inspired lager, sitting in the sun, and listening to Soundgarden. It's pretty damn good in this beer lovers opinion.
