One of the mainstays of the Washington beer scene has been Mac & Jacks African Amber. They've been brewing in Redmond since 1993. It's one of those beers you've always seen everywhere on tap. Recently they started canning...yay! Amidst stay at home orders, I'm sure a lot of people are missing their favorite draft beer. Producer Paul found these at a store in his hood and gave me one. I haven't had a Mac and Jacks in ages, so I was thrilled. I love a good amber, but a good amber is hard to find. This one is perfectly balanced. Sweet malt and hop balance. It's got such a great floral hop taste/aroma. They have an interactive map that shows where you can find it in cans. I'll be buying more...one was not enough!
