Sarah's Beer of the Week 01.30.20

I have a love hate relationship with German beer. You really have to be in the mood for a German wheat beer, but when you're in the mood nothing else will hit the spot. Sadly they are getting harder to find. Schneider-weisse is my favorite, but I can never find that one anymore. I did find a Ayinger Weizenbock. It's an unfiltered wheat beer. The smell was divine. Spices and cloves. It's smooth. Full of wheat spicy goodness. There are usually hints of banana in German wheat beers. Sounds strange but it totally works. The Ayinger is pretty darned delicious. It's 7.1% ABV, so packs a good punch. This makes for a tasty treat, especially in the colder months. Keep an eye out for real deal German wheat beers, you won't be disappointed.
