Sarah's Beer of the Week 09.26.19

This weekend marks an important beer anniversary. Fremont Brewing is turning 10! According to their website they're throwing one helluva party. One highlight will definitely be the release of their barrel aged stout. It's always drop dead amazing. Each year I do my best to pick one up, and then we save it for a special occasion. It's that good. With the arrival of Fall comes the barrel aged...the darker beers...the bigger beers. But it also brings us Fremont's Field to Ferment series. It's another annual output from Fremont that I look forward to. Fresh Hop Pale Ale. This is a beer series they do in conjunction with the hops being harvested in Yakima. They use different types of hops, and therefore each one you buy might be different. One year I marked each one out of the box with a sharpie. Then I realized they stamp the bottom with the name of the hops used. Much easier than marking up my beer can. This week I bought a 12-pack of the Field to Ferment, and it features Simcoe Hops. OMGB it's so good. The smell is divine. The taste is just flat out amazing. It won't last, but the good news is, there will be more of this series, out in the coming weeks. AND...Fremont is always brewing amazing beers. Cheers, and enjoy the Fall!
