Sarah's Beer of the Week 04.12.18

My husband Matt never like eating raw oysters.  Until a recent trip to Mexico.  Now he loves them.  Which is good news and bad.  I love going out for oysters, but sadly they aren't cheap!  I have promised to take him to the many great oyster spots in the Puget Sound area.  First up, Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar in Queen Anne.  While many like vodka or white wine with their oysters, I went for a nice cold brew from Stoup Brewing in Ballard.  I am a big fan of their beer and was excited to see one of their beers on draft.  I ordered the Mosaic Pale Ale.  And it should come as no surprise that it was outstanding.  Crisp, refreshing, flavorful and perfectly carbonated.  Their Citra IPA is one of my top local IPA's, this Mosaic Pale may be going on my most fav pale list.  Wonderful beer.  If you haven't visited their tap room, I highly suggest it, especially on a sunny say, as they have a great outdoor space.  Now, Taylor Shellfish.  Amazing oysters.  Fresh scallops.  Wonderful steamers.  Mouthwatering Caesar salad.  Our server seemed to forget about us, which made us feel sad but at least we were full of amazing food and beer.
