Gene Simmons-Paul Stanley Give Details On The End Of KISS & Rock History

KISS co-founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons sat down with the magazine American Songwriter to discuss a variety of topics including the band’s pending retirement. They said "KISS will continue. The culture will continue. We're just getting off the stage while the getting is good.”

In the History of Rock in 1963 – Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts and Ian Stewart perform together for the first time at London’s Marquee Jazz Club.

In 1976 – Barry Manilow had the number one record in the US with “I Write The Songs”. Although he wrote many of his hits, oddly enough he didn’t write this one.

And in 1981 – Motley Crue formed when bass guitarist Nikki Sixx left the band London and began rehearsing with drummer Tommy Lee. They later added guitarist Mick Mars and Vince Neil.
