Something great happened yesterday at Lumen Field besides a Seahawks win and eventually clinching a playoff run. Charlie Benante, the drummer for Pantera, joined the Blue Thunder Drumline to play his band’s ‘Walk’ and Anthrax’s ‘Indians’.
In the History of Rock in 1967 – The Monkees’ second album, “More Of The Monkees” was released and would displace the band’s debut album at the top of the charts.
In 1970 – During a UK tour Led Zeppelin appeared at The Royal Albert Hall the night of Jimmy Page’s 26th birthday. John Lennon, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck were all in the audience. The set was filmed and several decades later released on DVD.
And in 1997 – For David Bowie’s 50th Birthday he did a charity concert at Madison Square Garden. He was joined by The Cures Robert Smith, Dave Grohl, Lou Reed, Billy Corgan and more. Proceeds from the concert went to the Save The Children fund.
