Neal Schon Talks Keyboardists On Journey's 50th Anniversary Tour & History

Neal Schon says fans will be seeing co-founder and former keyboardist Gregg Rolie on Journey’s 50th-anniversary tour. This comes as a legal battle between Schon and keyboardist Jonathan Cain heats up over the band’s finances.

In the History of Rock in 1967 – Pink Floyd appeared at The Marquee Club in London. A magazine review said “The two guitarists looked moody, the drummer thrashed wildly about and the lights kept flashing. After about twenty minutes it became very boring and after half an hour I left.”

In 1973 – Bruce Springsteen released his debut album ‘Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.’ Recorded in a single week the album only sold about 25,000 copies in the first year of its release. ‘Blinded By The Light’ was released as a single but Manfred Mann's Earth Band cover version of the song reached number 1 on the US charts in 1977.

And in 2004 – While strolling through the French quarter in New Orleans, 59-year-old Ray Davies of The Kinks was shot in the leg after a passing car stopped and a gunman jumped out and demanded his girlfriend’s purse before running off. The singer chased the men, one of whom turned and fired. A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery.
