Ronnie Wood says a new Rolling Stones album is on the way. It will feature Charlie Watts on some of the tracks, and their current touring drummer Steve Jordan on the rest.
In the History of Rock in 1975 – Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” was released as a single. It would stay on the chart for seventeen weeks, nine of them at number one and would eventually go Platinum. The song would be re-released in December 1991 after being featured in the movie Wayne’s World and became a hit all over again.
In 1986 – Roger Waters, who had earlier left Pink Floyd, instigated a court injunction which disallowed remaining members from using the band’s name. The ruling was over-turned in early 1987.
And in 1990 – During a gig here in Seattle, Billy Idol dumped 600 dead fish in Faith No More’s dressing room. They responded by walking on stage, naked during Idol’s set.
