Mötley Crüe’s Mick Mars Retires From Touring & Classic Rock History

After 41 years on the road and the highly successful Stadium Tour, Mötley Crüe’s Mick Mars has announced his official retirement from touring. He will remain in the band, just won’t head out on the road.

In the History of Rock in 1962 – The Rolling Stones, consisting of Keith Richard, Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Ian Stewart and drummer Tony Chapman, record their first demo tape. Although Charlie Watts was being courted, he chose to remain at his advertising job.

In 1975 – After releasing the single and album Born to Run, Bruce Springsteen had the rare honor of simultaneous covers on both Time and Newsweek magazines.

And in 2014 – The Last Ship, Sting’s musical about shipbuilding in north-east England, opened on Broadway. The former frontman with The Police described watching the opening night as "an out-of-body experience".
