VIDEO: Highlights For The 2nd Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert & Rock History

Last night was the 2nd tribute show to honor Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins, and it was a doozy. Some highlights included Wolfgang Van Halen performing “Panama”, Pink singing Queens “Somebody To Love”, Miley Cyrus joining Def Leppard for “Photograph”, and Dave Chappelle covering Radiohead’s “Creep”.

In the History of Rock in 1968 – The Beatles biggest hit and the largest selling record of the 1960s “Hey Jude” reached the top of the US charts. The song, written by Paul McCartney for John’s son Julian, would stay at number one for nine weeks and sell over eight million copies.

In 1974 – Bad Company went to Number 1 on the US album chart with their self-titled debut. Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke from Free, Mick Ralphs from Mott The Hoople and Boz Burrell from King Crimson formed the group. They produced six albums together in the ten years they were together.

And in 2005 – A Mick Jagger impersonator spent over an hour accepting free drinks and enjoying VIP perks at a New York night spot. Club officials only realized that the man wasn’t Jagger after looking at a magazine photo and noticing that the unnamed imposter was younger and heavier than Jagger.
