Weezer Releases Sznz: Autumn EP & We Take A Look At Classic Rock History

Weezer has continued their series of seasonally themed EPs with the release of Sznz: Autumn. It’s a follow-up to their Spring and Summer Eps. The final installment is, naturally, set to arrive in time for winter.

In the History of Rock in 1967 – The Doors’ “People Are Strange” is released in the US, where it will reach number 12.

In 1969 – The Northern Star newspaper of Northern Illinois University ran a story claiming that Paul McCartney had been killed in a car crash in 1966 and had been replaced by a look-a-like. A disc jockey in Detroit picked up on the claim and the story went worldwide. A reporter visited Paul McCartney’s farm, and he replied, “Do I look dead, I’m as fit as a fiddle.”

And in 1977 – David Bowie released ‘Heroes’ as a single. The track features King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp and went on to become one of Bowie’s signature songs.
