How much money did the Motley Crue and Def Leppard Stadium Tour Make this summer? 1.3 million tickets were sold, earning a whopping $173.5 million. That makes it the most successful tour of either band’s career.

In the History of Rock in 1968 – Jimi Hendrix released his cover of “All Along the Watchtower” which would become his only Top 40 hit single, topping out at number 20. Dave Mason from Traffic and Rolling Stone Brian Jones both played on the song.

In 1974 – Canada’s Bachman-Turner Overdrive released “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet”, which will become their third US Top 30 entry and their only number one.

And in 1977 – Meat Loaf released his second studio album “Bat Out Of Hell”. It is one of the best-selling albums of all time, having sold over 43 million copies worldwide (and still sells over 200,000 copies per year).
